Madonna opts for African dance entertainment for son’s birthday bash
Madonna assembled some of the best hands to ever play the authentic African music in celebration of her son’s 13th birthday bash on Saturday 1st September 2018.
Nigeria’s Culture Ambassador Extraordinaire, Ayan De First was on hand to share the global stage with the musical icon, as she left nothing at ensuring her son, David Banda had a fun filled day. David Banda was adopted by the 60year old singer, Madonna in 2006 from the Southern Africa country of Malawi.
The African Drummers Ensemble performance was so electrifying and engaging for Madonna and her son David as they danced to their hearts’ content. The mother of six, who adopted four children from Malawi, displayed her skill on several African musical instruments.
Ayan De First’s career has witnessed astronomical prominence in the UK, which started from the mid 90’s with performances at events like the African Film Awards a.k.a Afro Hollywood Awards to theatres and schools around the UK. Ayan De First has performed at the Queen’s Birthday celebration and he has had the opportunity of showing Prince Charles how to play the talking drum.
In a chat with African Voice, the global cultural Icon, Ayan De First relaying his experience on stage with Madonna said, ‘performing with and for Madonna is a wonderful opportunity and achievement. It is a feeling of great pleasure to mingle with celebrities and dignitaries, but this for me is a sensational success.’
Madonna on her instagram handle expressed her joy and satisfaction describing her experience with African drums, musicians and dancers as a blessing.
